CHINO HILLS, California, USA — Yesterday, Sunday, a explosion at home in Southern California neighborhoodin which eight people were injured and there was also damage to two nearby housesDue to the incident, firefighters evacuated a total of 16 homes.
Firefighters in Chino Hills did not say what caused the explosion, but said they stopped a gas leak. Photos and videos from the scene showed the house reduced to a pile of rubble.
“Crews will remain on scene to continue the review and investigation,” the Chino Valley Fire District posted online.
Chino Valley Fire responded at 3:44 PM to an apparent explosion on the 4200 block of Sierra Vista Dr. One home has major damage; nearby homes minor damage.

He Fire Department reported that four people were taken from the house to a hospital, and another four moved on their own. His state of health is currently unknown.
KABC-TV reported that witnesses said they saw people running from the exploded house, including children calling for help.
Authorities allowed people whose homes were not damaged to return to their homes later.
A telephone message was also sent to the Southern California Gas Company requesting information about the incident.
Chino Hills has approximately 78,000 residents and is about 56 kilometers southeast of Los Angeles.
